Meet Our Bilingual Staff
Laura is a licensed funeral director and embalmer who prides herself on supporting families that are looking for non-traditional arrangements made more accessible with the support of a licensed funeral director. An advocate of family-centered, end-of-life planning, home funerals, and green burial, Laura is delighted to join the Kuhn Funeral Home family - a firm with Green Burial Council certification and a reputation for the highest level of service.
Laura has long been interested in the end-of-life transition, expressed through years of hospice volunteer work. She holds a B.A. in Creative Writing and Latin from the City University of New York and a M.S. in Teaching from the New School, and she also graduated with honors from Northampton Community College's Funeral Service Education program in 2019.
Laura is a mother of two children, a Buddhist and a practitioner of yoga.
