Yolanda Rose (Cianci) Rickenbach, 85, of Wyomissing, died December 14, 2008 in ManorCare, Sinking Spring.
She was the wife of John Thomas Rickenbach whom she married March 2, 1946.
Born August 6, 1923 in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late Raffaele and Mary Rose (Crocona) Cianci.
Yolanda was a graduate of Reading High School in 1941.
In her profession as a secretary during her 44 year career, she worked for Berkshire Knitting Mills, Parish and finally, working 25 years of service as an assistant to the Vice President of Engineering at CarTech.
Yolanda was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.
She served as the President of the Pretzel City Barber Shop Chorus Auxiliary, Reading. She was also a member of the Central Catholic Women's Club.
Also surviving are three children: John T. "Jack", husband of Sharon A. (Wolfskill) of West Chester, PA; Robin M. (Rickenbach), wife of Frank Bisacci of Kenhorst and Thomas A., husband of Tamara S. (Tiernan) of West Chester, PA.
In addition there is a brother Anthony P. Cianci of Sinking Spring and a sister, Rose Marie (Cianci) Kelly of Boston, MA.
There are eight grandchildren surviving: Joel and his wife Sabrina, Nell, Christopher, Frankie, Nicholas, Claire, Brandon and Emma.
Yolanda was predeceased by two sisters, Dolores (Cianci) Pipala and Maryann (Cianci) Dorward.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angel's Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Rd., Hyde Park, with Rev. Christopher M. Zelonis officiating. A viewing will be held from 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Entombment will be held in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Hyde Park.
