Woodrow Reichert

Woodrow Reichert, 85, of Temple, passed away on October 14, 2007 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the husband of Jean C. (Yeager) Reichert whom he married on September 8, 1943.

Born in Schuylkill Haven on January 24, 1922, Woodrow was a son to the late John and Elsie (Alspach) Reichert.

He was employed as a mechanic by Firestone Tire Store, Reading, for 36 years, retiring in 1981.

Woodrow was a member of Salem Shalter's Lutheran Church, where he was a former councilman for 6 years.

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

Surviving is a son, Thomas, husband of Carol (Heckman) Reichert of Loris, SC.

He is also survived by a brother, Buddie Reichert of Schuylkill Haven and a sister, Elsie Seifert of Lebanon.

There is one grandson, Timothy J., husband of Terri (Taylor) Reichert of Raleigh, NC.

There are three great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by brothers, Harold Reichert, Theodore Reichert and Louis Reichert.

Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. There will be a viewing one hour prior to services.
