Woodrow Wilson Reber, 86, formerly of Mount Penn, died October 9th at 4:08 pm in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center where he had been since September 23rd. He was taken there from Green Hills Manor, Cumru Township, where he had been since July 6, 2004.
He was the widower of Bertha (Grohman) Reber, November 1, 1984.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Howard M. and Lottie L. (Michael) Reber.
Reber was a Navy Veteran of WWII.
He worked for a number of years as a machinist at American Chain and Cable until the companies closing.
Reber last worked as a strapper operator for Carpenter Technology, Reading, until his retirement in May of 1983.
He is survived by three grandchildren, Cassie Reber, Benjamin Reber and Joseph Reber, all of Spring Township.
Reber was predeceased by a son, Dennis W. Reber who died October 29, 1999.
Service will be Wednesday 1:00pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Visitiation Wednesday 12:30 until time of service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
