Woodrow Franklin Lightcap

Woodrow F. "Woody" Lightcap was born in his home in Hill Church, June 17, 1940.

Woody was also known by Pinky, Wood i and Chief Leaf.

He attended a one room school house and finished his education at Oley Valley High School.

At the age of 73, Woody continued his journey through life on February 13, 2014.

He was the husband of Stella (Yoder) Lightcap and they were married 53 years.

Woody is survived by two daughters: Lorie A. Gable, wife of Joshua J. Gable and Lisa C. Noll, wife of Thomas J. Noll.

Other survivors include two grandchildren: Tara T. Beates and Steven R. Noll and two great grandchildren.

Woody was employed at Uni-Cast in Boyertown, PA for 27 years and retired from the Fleetwood School District after 15 years of service.

He and his wife also owned and operated Hill Crest Kennels for 45 years.

Woody loved motorcycles, golf, wrestling, being outdoors on the farm and most of all, being with his family.

He will be greatly missed for his witty sense of humor and his one liners.

Services will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 10:00 am in Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley.

Viewings will be held Friday evening 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday morning from 9:30 am until time of service.

Burial will be in Hill Church Cemetery, Boyertown.
