Winfield Kunsman

Winfield G. Kunsman, 89, died December 10 at 2:50 a.m. in his Muhlenberg Township residence.

He was the husband of Wilma K. (Balthaser) Kunsman.

He was the son of the late, Leroy and Elsie M.(Spohn)Kunsman.

Kunsman was employed by the former Continental Insurance Companies, Reading, now CNA Insurance, for 16 years, retiring in 1978.

He was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Hyde Park, where he was a former member of the church council.

Kunsman was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

He was a noted Senior Bowler in Berks County, bowling a 300 game in 1986.

Kunsman was a life member of the Goodwill Fire Company, Hyde Park, Beneficial Association.

He is also survived by three daughters, Dyanne L. (Kunsman) Adams, of Wyomissing, Carol A. Kunsman, of Laureldale , and Judith M. (Kunsman) Geissler, of Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include two sisters, Dorothy G. (Kunsman) Huey of Laureldale and June (Kunsman) Harkness of Kansas.

There are also 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Burial in Laureldale Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pinnacle Hospice, 3705 Elmwood Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
