Wilmer H. Fisher

Wilmer, H. "Bud" Fisher, 88, of Wyomissing, passed away February 11, 2009 in Reading Hospital.

His wife Laura (Farina) Fisher died December 6, 2006.

Born in Reading, He was the son of the late Wilmer and Matilda J. (Goheen) Fisher.

He was the president and owner of Wilmer Fisher Plumbing and Heating Inc., Reading.

Wilmer was a member, deacon and elder of St. Mark's United Church of Christ, Reading.

He was a past president and a member of the board of directors of Green Valley Country Club and Reading PA Master Plumbers Association. He was a 32nd degree Mason Lodge 62, Reading, Scottish Rite, West Reading, Rajah Temple Shrine, Reading, American Legion, Shillington, and City of Reading Exchange Club.

Wilmer was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the South Pacific during WW II.

He is survived by two sons, Steven W., husband of Louise Fisher, Reading and Jan J., husband of Eileen Fisher, Exeter Township.

Wilmer is also survived by three grandchildren, Steven N. Fisher, Justin Fisher, Kristen, wife of Rory Bender; three step-grandchildren, James Pachuilo, Beth Lascomb, Lisa Cipolla, and eight step great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
