Wilma L. Kompa

Wilma Louise (Seidel) Kompa, 81, formerly of Muhlenberg Township died February 14, 2008 at 8:05 am in her daughters Cumru Township residence.

She was the wife of Wallace Boleslaus Kompa who died September 11, 1986.

Born January 10, 1927 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Harry A. and Florence C. (Hardy) Seidel.

Wilma was a graduate of Reading High School in 1944.

She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Hyde Park.

Wilma was employed as a nurse's aide for a total of six years; working three years for Community General Hospital, Reading and three years for Spruce Manor, West Reading.

Surviving are two daughters: Sandra L. (Kompa) wife of James D. Kozlowski of Cumru Township and Suzanne M. (Kompa), wife of Michael A. Longo of Pine Grove, Schuylkill County.

There are eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, two step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by three children; James W. Kompa, who died October 7, 2002, Geraldine A. Waldman, who died September 23, 1995 and Ruth C. Kompa, who died in 1950.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:00 am in Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Hyde Park. No public viewing. Burial will be in St. Mary's R.C. Cemetery, Reading. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale, is in charge of arrangements.
