Wilma K. Kunsman

Wilma Kathryn (Balthaser) Kunsman, 92, of Muhlenberg Township, died October 15, 2007 at 12:05 pm in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where she was a patient since October 11, 2007.

She was married May 13, 1939 to the late Winfield George Kunsman, who died December 10, 2005.

Born in Centre Township, PA., on March 1, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Oliver and Herma (Bucks) Balthaser.

She was a devoted member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Hyde Park.

Wilma is survived by three daughters, Dyanne L. wife of Robert D. Adams of Spring Township, Carol A. Kunsman of Laureldale and Judith M. Geissler of Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include a brother, Warren widower of Sarah (Ulrich) Balthaser of Centerport and three sisters, Sarah widow of Frank Hoffman of Mohrsville, Arlene widow of Howard Hollenbacher of Reading and Madlyn wife of Gene Umbenhauer of West Lawn.

There are also five grandchildren, Kelly A. (Adams) wife of Richard F. Close; Kimberly A. (Adams) wife of Matthew C. Duffy; Christopher R. husband of Ellen R. (Wolf) Adams; Joshua G. husband of Elizabeth A. (Madden) Kunsman and Kasey B. (Geissler) wife of Jason S. Kantner and eight great grandchildren, Matthew, Adam, Jakob, Kendall, Ella, Sean, Grace and Macy.

She was predeceased by four siblings; Ralph, Mabel, Lawrence and Esther.

Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with the Rev. Mark E. Brophy officiating. Viewings will be held in the funeral home Wednesday 6:30 - 8:00 pm and Thursday 10:00 am until time of services. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
