William T. Ziegler

William Thomas Ziegler, 76, of Bern Township, died February 17, 2008 at 12:28 pm in St. Joseph Medical Center, where he had been a patient since February 11th.

He was the husband of Jean Kathryn (Snyder) Ziegler, whom he married July 16, 1960.

Born in West Reading, PA on September 23, 1931, he was the only son of the late Andrew James Ziegler and Lulu A. (Luckenbill) Ziegler.

He was a 1949 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

William was a member of Bern Lutheran Church, Bern Township.

He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

William was employed 33 years as a draftsman with the Reading Railroad.

He is also survived by a daughter, Mary Amy, wife of Darryl R. Spangler of Muhlenberg Township.

Services will be Friday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with the Rev. David L. Roper officiating. A viewing will be held Thursday 6:30 - 8:00 pm and Friday 9:30 am until time of services in the funeral home. Burial will be in Bern Cemetery, Bern Township.
