William P. Yatron

William P. Yatron, 63, passed away on October 3, 2007 in his Jefferson Twp. residence, surrounded by his family.

Bill was the husband of Barbara Ann (Henning) Yatron. They were married 38 years April 12.

Born in Reading he was the son of Nicholas P. and the late Betty J. (Brown) Yatron.

He was a 1963 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and won numerous awards for wrestling. He studied and taught women Judo at the YWCA. He served in the Marine Corps Reserves "Hotel Battery" out of Reading from 1963 to 1971, where he met his best friend, Chris Zoga.

Bill was an avid hunter and a member of the North Kill Rod and Gun Club. He ran all the children's archery shoots.

He loved woodworking and carving, which is what he did most of his life. He was employed at Adelphi Kitchens in Robesonia for 44 years and retired from there as a plant supervisor in April 2006.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his daughter, Amy Lynn, wife of James A. Savant, Jr., Bernville and his son Christopher W. husband of Heather (Heck), Wernersville. There are two granddaughters, Eleana and Celaney Yatron. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive him.

A viewing will be held Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Berks Visiting Nurse Assoc.
