William H. Sharp

William Henry Sharp, 76, of 3333 Sheidy Avenue, (Muhlenberg Township) Reading, Pa 19605, died November 5th at 2:47 am in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center under the care of the Berks Visiting Nurses Association in Hospital Hospice Program where he had been since October 30th.

Formerly of 1610 Elizabeth Avenue, Laureldale, he was the husband of Kathleen A. (Gehris) Sharp.

Born in South Temple, he was a son of the late Harry G. and Charlotte Ellen (Gleason) Sharp. He was also predeceased by his step-mother, Fannie (Cobly) Sharp.

Sharp was a 1946 graduate of Muhlenberg Township High School.

He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

Sharp worked until July 1987 as a distribution superintendent for 39 years at the Muhlenberg Township Authority.

He was last employed as the owner operator for 20 years for WH Sharp Plumbing, Laureldale until his retirement in 1990.

Sharp was a volunteer for a number of years with the Muhlenberg Ambulance Association.

He is also survived by two daughters, Nancy Jane Sharp of Laureldale and Wendy S. Sharp of Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include a step-sister, Thelma (Bevan)Breidegam of Muhlenberg Township.

Services will be Monday at 11:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Rev. Grant A. Wickert officiating. Viewing 10:00 am until time of service.
