William J. A. Rohn

William J. A. "Tony" Rohn, 73, of Reading, passed away February 2, 2010 in Reading Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of Susan J. (Weiss) Rohn.

Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late William and Catharine (Strunk) Rohn.

He was graduate of Blair Academy, Blairstown, N.J., attended Duke University , and graduated from Albright College in 1960.

Tony was a U.S. Army reservist.

He was employed by the Reading Eagle as Vice President and General Manager, retiring in 1990 where he also served on the Board of Directors. He was an Officer and Share holder for WEEU and Co-Officer for Moselem Development.

Tony was a past President for the Wyomissing Club; Former Board of Director Member for United Way and Inroads; and also a member of the University Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, William J. Rohn II., Robesonia, Elizabeth L. Rohn, Richmond, VA, Laura L., wife of David Entzminger, Muhlenberg Township, Siena C., wife of Matthew McLees, Philadelphia and Benjamin R. Koval, Arlington, VA; and four grandchildren, Casey Entzminger, Thomas Entzminger, Jennifer Entzminger and Maisie Jane McLees.

Service will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Yocum Institute for Arts Education, 1100 Belmont Ave., Wyomissing , pa 19610.
