William G. Mahle, 89, of Boyertown, formerly of Bern Township, passed away on April 23rd at the Reading Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Harry J. and Rose (Keuhne) Mahle.
He was the husband of M. Eleanor (Eshbach) Mahle.
William is survived by one son, Jeffrey A. husband of Dale P. Mahle, Pottstown, and two daughters, Judith C. wife of Walter G. Scheipe, Bern Township and Susan F. wife of Robert G. Vincent, Lansdale.
He is also survived by five grandchildren, Randy Davis, Trisha Allen, Curtis Vincent, Russell Vincent, and Steven Vincent.
There are also 9 great grandchildren.
William was a graduate of Temple University and an Army World War II veteran.
He worked as a credit manager for Atlantic Refining Co., Reading, Philadelphia and Providence, RI, for 32 years until his retirement in 1972. He was also the treasurer and manager for EPAK Atlantic Federal Credit Union, Sinking Spring, for 25 years.
William was a supervisor for Bern Township for 17 years, from January 1974 to December 1999. He was a conservationist, and planted over 16, 000 trees in Penn Township.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, West Reading. Burial will be in Hill Church Cemetery, Pike Township.
