William Lester Kalbach, 95, of Reading passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021 in Manor at Market Square.
Born in Leesport on September 25, 1925, he was a son of the late Harvey and Stella (Snyder) Kalbach. He served in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946.
He was employed for over 35 years with Edward Reider Construction as a carpenter. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and visited Fenway Park often. He loved to read, golf and travel. William liked to have his bourbon and his preference was Jim Beam.
Surviving are three children: William L. Kalbach, Jr. of Kansas, Rebecca A. (Kalbach) Werley of Reading and Stephen S. Kalbach of Kansas; three grandchildren: Marlee Haig, William Dusing and Steven Kalbach and four great grandchildren.
William is predeceased by a grandson, Matthew Kalbach and three brothers, Charles Blatt, Harold Kalbach and Harvey Kalbach, Jr.
Services for William are private and at the convince of the family.
