William J. Kelly

William J. Kelly Jr., 66, Mount Penn, a retired city teacher, died Dec. 4 in Wyomissing Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Reading, where he had been a patient for one week.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late William J. Sr. and Genevieve A. (Kane) Kelly.

Kelly had been employed for 28 years as a teacher by the Reading School District, including many years at Amanda Stout Elementary School, retiring in 1993.

He was a member of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Exeter Township.

Kelly was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and Kutztown State College.

He is survived by a daughter, Beth Ann (Kelly) Wisner, Pennside; and two sons, Timothy M., Pennside, and Michael P., Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include two sisters, Mary Louise (Kelly) Mancuso, Wyomissing, and Jenie A. (Kelly) Pingitore, Reading.

There are also 10 grandchildren.

Private graveside services will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
