William Joseph Levan

William Joseph Levan, 75, of 3629 Pottsville Pike, Muhlenberg Township, was dead on arrival in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading, on May 20, 2002 at 10:14 a.m.

He was the husband of Ruth H. (Gardner) Levan.

Levan was the owner / operator of Levan's Auto Body, Muhlenberg Township for 45 years, retiring in 1999.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late William I. and Esther M. (Bitler) Levan.

Levan was a Army veteran of WWII.

He is also survived by a son; Kenneth W. husband of Sandra Levan of Mount Penn, and two daughters; Susan E. (Levan) wife of John Douglas McLean of Mohnton, Sandra R. (Levan) wife of Edward Quesenberry of Mount Penn.

Other surviviors include two sisters; Thelma (Levan) widow of LeRoy Hagmayer of Greenfields and Corinne (Levan) widow of Donald Ludwikowski of Muhlenberg Township.

There are six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Viewing will be 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery.
