William Joseph DeLancey, 84, of Temple, died July 19, 2009 in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township.
He was the husband of Annette E. (Klein) DeLancey whom he married October 6, 9156.
Born July 10, 1925 in Berks County, he was a son of the late William Joshua and Carrie Mae (Matthews) DeLancey.
William was employed as a machinist by Reading Railroad/Conrail for 40 years, retiring in 1984.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Muhlenberg Township.
Also surviving are three children, Eugene S., husband of Kim DeLancey of Oley Township; Karen A. (DeLancey), wife of David Huntbach of Jenkintown, Montgomery County and Susan M. (DeLancey), wife of Thomas Guldin of Fleetwood.
Other survivors include two sisters surviving, Thelma (DeLancey) Schmehl of Exeter Township and Geraldine (DeLancey) Fox of Millsboro, Delaware.
In addition, there are six grandchildren surviving.
Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
