William J. Cardiff

CARDIFF - WILLIAM (BILL) JOSEPH

February 18, 1931 - September 18, 2021

Born in Johnstown, PA, the son of the late Margaret T. (Sweeney) and Richard D. Cardiff. He resided in Reading, PA.

Devoted husband of Donna Cardiff (nee Palowitch) loving father of Kevin (Edith) Cardiff, Elizabeth Cardiff, Margaret Kastner, Veronica (Christopher) Falls, Patrick (Teresa) Cardiff, Donna Cardiff Baumann and Marian (Steve) Lucas; cherished grandfather of twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Bill attended St. Vincent Preparatory School in Latrobe, PA. A Korean War veteran, he got his Masters Degree in Education from the University of Pittsburgh. He held a range of PA State government positions related to early child development and public health support programs. He retired in 1993. Bill enjoyed flea markets, singing in the church choir, collecting miniature figures, and attending Notre Dame football games.

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care our father received at Country Meadows connections unit.
