William H. Hottenstein

William Henry Hottenstein, 67, of Topton, died June 27, 2011 at 8:10 p.m. in Hershey Medical Center.

He was the husband of Ruth Ann (Kline) Hottenstein, who died April 4, 1997.

Born April 8, 1944 in Fleetwood, he was a son of the late Morris Eli, Sr. and Mabel Irene (Conrad) Hottenstein.

William was employed as a foreman with East Penn Manufacturing, Lyons, for 46 1/2 years, retiring in June, 2010.

He enjoyed spending time at his hunting cabin in Tioga County.

He also found pleasure in farming to feed the wildlife.

Surviving are three daughters: Beth Ann Hottenstein of Topton; Carol L. Hottenstein of Temple and Dawn A. (Hottenstein), wife of Terry A. Dieter of Upper Tulpehocken Township.

Other survivors include two sisters, Ida (Hottenstein) Sands and Irene (Hottenstein) Moyer, both of Walnuttown and a brother, Melvin Hottenstein of Topton.

William was predeceased by a daughter, Amy L. (Hottenstein) Barrell, who died January 22, 1997; a brother, Morris Eli Hottenstein, Jr. and a sister, Elsie Stitzel.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Viewings will be held Friday evening from 6:30-9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 until the time of service in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John's (Gernant's) Cemetery.
