William G. Heller

William G. Heller, 85, formerly of Hamburg, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020, in Chestnut Knoll, Boyertown, where he was a resident for six and a half years.

He was the husband of Mary Ann (Kunkle) Heller, who died June 27, 1997.

Born in Windsor Township, he was the son of the late William R. and Helen P. (Wink) Miller.

Bill attended Hamburg High School before he joined the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict.

He was employed in the maintenance department at Carpenter Technology for 31 years, retiring on May 1, 1997.

Among numerous other organizations, William was a member of the Hamburg Gun Club, Lenhartsville Rod & Gun Club, Kutztown Gun Club, the VFW of Hamburg and Bernville, Steelers Fellowship Club, Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, and the Kutztown Fire Company.

William is survived by his best friend, Sarah Powell, an uncle, several cousins and a brother-in-law.

His passions were his antique cars, and attending car shows.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, 40 South 4th Street, Hamburg. Burial will follow in New Bethel Cemetery, Albany Township. A visitation for friends and family will be held one hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Please continue to follow covid-19 protocol's.
