William J. Garceau

William Jerome Garceau, 66, of Exeter Township, died April 2, 2009 in the St. Joseph Medical Center, where he had been a patient since March 25th.

He was the husband of Gail A. (Marsh) Garceau, whom he married May 31, 1969.

Born in Atlanta, GA on April 3, 1942, he was a son of the late Jerome V. and Helen (Flannagan) Garceau.

He was a 1960 graduate of Central Catholic High School, a 1964 graduate of Villanova University and received his masters degree in 1972 from Lehigh University.

William was employed 26 years with AT&T, Muhlenberg Township, retiring as a mechanical engineer in 1989.

He was a member of St. Catharines Roman Catholic Church, Exeter Township.

William is also survived by a son, William T., husband of Susan M. (Thom) Garceau of Lower Heidelberg Township.

Other survivors include three siblings: Helen, wife of Arthur Devlin of Fairfax, VA; Thomas V. Garceau of Falls Church, VA and Mary Jane Garceau of Falls Church, VA.

There are also two grandchildren: Savanna M. Garceau and Austin T. Garceau.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 am in St. Catharines R.C. Church, Exeter Township. There will be no public viewing. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown.
