William E. Roth

William E. Roth, 92, formerly of West Wyomissing and Wyomissing, died July 27 at 10:15 a.m. in the Lutheran Home at Topton, where he had resided since Nov. 15, 2002.

He had been a patient in the skilled nursing unit since Jan. 19.

He was the husband of Clara L. (Lieber) Roth, also a resident at the Lutheran Home at Topton.

Born in Laufach, Germany, he was a son of the late Rudolf and Maria (Voelker) Roth.

Roth was employed for many years as a machinist by the Textile Machine Works, Wyomissing, retiring in 1974.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Roth was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

He is also survived by three granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, William H. Roth, in 1975.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
