William E. Brouse

William E. Brouse, 78, of Spring Township, died in Reading Hospital & Medical Center.

He was the husband of Carol J. (Stauffer) Brouse, who he married April 7, 1956.

Born in Selinsgrove, PA, he was a son of the late Howard R. and Helen M. (Mull) Brouse.

William was a 1953 graduate of Ringtown High School, a 1957 graduate of Penn State University, where he earned a BS in Industrial Engineering.

He worked as a manager for CarTech for 35 years before his retirement. William was also the assistant superintendent of the melting department and superintendent of vacuum induction melting.

William was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ where he served as the president of consistory and co-chair on the Building Expansion Committee.

He was a two-time president of Sinking Spring Lions Club.

In addition to his wife, William is survived by his daughter, Sharon K., wife of Thomas R. Rutter, Sinking Spring, and two grandsons: Derek, husband of Leonidas, Wyomissing, and Kyle, Sinking Spring.

Additional survivors include his siblings: Richard H. Brouse, East Earl Township, Deanna, wife of Larry Fetterman, Ringtown, and several nieces and nephews

Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter's U.C.C. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring.
