William C. Schwartz

William C. Schwartz, 82, died Aug. 18 at 2:45 a.m. in his residence in Muhlenberg Township.

He was the husband of Grace E. (Brown) Schwartz.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Charles H. and Sarah R. (Zapf) Schwartz.

Schwartz was employed for 27 years as a tool and die maker by ATT Reading Works, Muhlenberg Township, retiring in 1986.

He was a 1941 graduate of Reading High School.

Schwartz was a member of the Rosedale United Church of Christ, Laureldale.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Schwartz is also survived by a daughter, Margaret L. (Schwartz) Hoyt, Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include two sisters, Mary (Schwartz) Shade, Wernersville, and Florence (Schwartz) Krick, Reading.

There are also two grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, a great-granddaughter and six stepgreat-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
