William C. Boyer

William C. Boyer, 71, of Bernville, passed away December 4, 2016, at Berkshire Center.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Martin and Dorothy (Bohn) Boyer.

He was a 1963 graduate of Central Catholic High School.

William was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War.

He was employed by Steamfitter's Union #420, retiring in 2000.

William was a member of St Francis De Sales Roman Catholic Church, Robesonia.

He was a founding member of the Glenside Performance Association Car Club.

William enjoyed vacationing with his family in Stone Harbor, NJ.

He is survived by three children: Michael A., husband of Jessica Boyer, Harrisburg; Mark A. Boyer, Philadelphia; and Melissa A., wife of Richard Kretz, Reading; two siblings: Martin, husband of Lesley Boyer, Reading; and Patricia, wife of Francis Talarico, Wyomissing. Four grandchildren: Cory; Elizabeth; Xander; and Zac also survive him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St Francis De Sales Roman Catholic Church, 321 N Church St, Robesonia, PA 19551. Burial will be in St. John's (Hain's) Church Cemetery, Wernersville. Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA and Friday from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m. in the church.
