William H. Burdan

William H. Burdan

William H. Burdan, Jr., 92, of 2515 Reading Blvd., West Wyomissing, Pa 19609, died May 17th at 9am in the Lutheran Home of Topton where he had been since April 14th.

He was the widower of Gladys E. (Keller) Burdan who died October 18, 2001.

Born in Reading he was a son of the late William and Lucy (Terrey) Burdan.

He worked as a heat treater for 28 years at Textile Machine Works before retiring in 1975.

Burdan was a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church where he served as Church Steward for 25 years (1963-1988) and also bowled for 30 years on past championship teams of the Church Bowling League.

He was a life member of the West Lawn Senior Citizens.

Burdan is survived by a daughter, Gloria F. (Burdan) wife of Bernard G. Behrenshausen of Spring Township.

Other survivors include two sisters, Catherine (Burdan) widow of Edward Fatzinger of Wyomissing and June (Burdan) widow of Paul Burkert of West Reading.

There is also three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday 10:00 am in West Lawn United Methodist Church, Penn & Woodside Avenues, West Lawn, Pa 19609. Viewing 9am until time of service. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church.
