William F. Borda, 94, formerly of Laureldale, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 26, 2018, at Reading Hospital. He was the loving husband of Betty M. (McNeal) Borda; they celebrated 66 years of marriage together. Born in Reading, Bill was the son of the late Ray F. and Miriam (Feeg) Borda.
Bill was a graduate of Reading High School and Dickinson College, where he earned his degree in History/Economics. He worked in sales for the former Narrow Fabric Company, West Reading, and was later VP of Sales for Dolfin Corporation, Shillington.
A US Army veteran, Bill served in the 82nd Airborne in World War II. He was a long-time member of the Muhlenberg Township Rotary, serving as secretary for many years. He was also an accomplished, life-long tennis player, playing well into his 80s.
In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his daughter, Terry, of Laureldale, and son, Ray, husband of Laura, of Irvine, CA and grandchildren: Ryan and Darby. One sister June, of Ogdensburg, NY and her three children also survive him.
