William B. Harris, 78, died April 13 at 11:20 p.m. in his residence on Sunset Road, West Reading.
He was the husband of Lillian W. (Workman) Harris.
Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Oscar and Helen (Kissinger) Harris.
Harris was employed from 1946 to 1952 as a clerk by Textile Machine Works, Wyomissing, and was last employed as a production scheduler by Continental Can Co., Reading, from 1953 until his retirement in 1988.
He was a 1942 graduate of West Reading High School.
Harris was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, West Reading.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Harris is also survived by two sons, Bruce D., Farmington Hills, Mich., and James B., Chambersburg, Franklin County.
Other survivors include four sisters: Ruth (Harris) Lombardo, Flo (Harris) Hammerschmidt and Joanne (Harris) Entzminger, all of Shillington; and Marie (Harris) Chitwood, Tampa, Fla.
There are also five grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton.
