Wilbur J. Curley, 95, of Phoebe Berks Village, Wernersville, formerly of Shillington, died Sept. 23 at 11:40 p.m. in Phoebe Berks Health Care Center Inc.

His wife, Ethel B. (Buynak) Curley, died Sept. 23, 1997.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late John B. and Anna L. (Verveida) Curley.

Curley had been employed for 40 years as an engineer by Rockwell International, Wyomissing, retiring in 1972.

He was a 1928 graduate of Shillington High School and a 1932 graduate of the Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute.

Curley was a charter inductee into the Gov. Mifflin Hall of Fame in May 1962.

He was also credited with filming 25 seasons of high school football for Gov. Mifflin, from 1950-75. In addition, he filmed documentary-style presentations on the progression of the schools in the district.

He was a multiple-award recipient of the Berks County Camera Club.

Curley is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth A. (Curley) Mosko, Shillington, and Linda L. (Curley) Macsisak, Kenhorst.

There are also three grandsons and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Contributions may be made to G.M Boosters Club 10 South Waverly Street, Shillington, PA 19607. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
