Wayne R. Kunkelman, 84, of Cleveland Avenue, West Wyomissing, died March 16 at 8 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient since March 7.
He was the husband of Helen P. (Hilbert) Kunkelman. His first wife, Helen E. (Horne) Kunkelman, died July 3, 1974.
Born in Spring Township, he was a son of the late Walter and Anna (Moyer) Kunkelman.
Kunkelman was employed for 46 years by the Narrow Fabric Co., West Reading, retiring as plant manager in 1982.
He was a member of the West Lawn United Methodist Church.
Kunkelman was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He is also survived by a son, Wayne R. Jr., Newtown, Bucks County; and a daughter, Carol E. (Kunkelman) Budwash, Robesonia.
Other survivors include two stepdaughters, Althea (Ritter) Graeff, Bernville, and Dorothea (Ritter) Seidel, Mertztown; and three stepsons: Raymond Herbine, Kutztown; Stewart Herbine, Denver, Lancaster County; and Richard Herbine, Robesonia.
There are also six grandchildren, nine stepgrandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, six stepgreat-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Judith A. (Kunkelman) Wentzel, in 1995.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton.
