Wayne R. Kamp

Wayne R. Kamp, 86 of New Ringgold died August 25, 2012 in Schuylkill Medical Center, South in Pottsville. He was the husband of Ruth A. (Bensinger) Kamp to whom he was married to for 67 years. Wayne was born in New Ringgold and was the son of the late Franklin C. and Mabel A. (Leiby) Kamp. Wayne worked as a tow motor operator for 25 years for Reading Tube retiring in 1992. He was a member of Drehersville (Salem U.M.) Church. Wayne was a Navy veteran of WWII. He was a life member of the Hamburg Fish and Game Association, life member of the Community Fire Company of New Ringgold and served for 48 years on the New Ringgold Borough Council, many of those as president or vice president. In Addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Deborah Margavage, Schuylkill Haven; son Dennis W. husband of Judy Kamp, Oxford, PA. and 2 grandchildren, Andrew and Kathleen. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at noon from the Drehersville (Salem U.M.) Church, 49 Church Lane, Orwigsburg, PA. A viewing will be held from 11:00 AM until noon in the church. Burial will be in Drehersville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church. The Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. Hamburg is in charge of arrangements.
