Wayne H. Bohr

Wayne H. Bohr, 93, of Hyde Park, died Friday, May 15, 2009 in ManorCare, Laureldale.

He was the widower of Fern E. (Dietrich) Bohr.

Born in Hyde Park, he was the son of the late Irvin H. and Minnie (Genslinger) Bohr.

Wayne was employed as Chief Deputy and County Controller over 8 years. He was also employed at the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home for many years. He also worked at Cassel's Supermarkets and Billy's Pretzels.

He was a member of Grace Alsace United Church of Christ.

A United States Army Veteran who served in World War II.

Wayne was a life member of Goodwill Fire Company, Financial Secretary of Goodwill Beneficial Association, American Legion, Laureldale Post #622.

Surviving is a sister, Mildred, widow of Franklin W. Wertz, Jr. of Hyde Park; two nephews, James Bohr of Annville, and Woodrow Wertz of Cape May, New Jersey, and a niece, Susan Graeff of Temple.

Wayne was predeceased by a brother Irvin J., and two sisters Ardella, and Irene.

Services will be held on Wednesday, at 10:00 a.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, PA. A viewing will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. before the services. Burial will follow in Alsace Cemetery.
