Warren E. Snyder

Warren Eugene Snyder, 90, of Muhlenberg Township, died of natural causes in the Spring Township residence of a grandson, Rodney Stamm.

He was the widower of Arlene Edith (Good) Snyder, who died October 13, 2005.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Clayton J. and Gertrude S. (Beavens) Snyder.

He was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Reading.

Snyder was employed over 40 years as a conductor for the Reading Railroad now Conrail until retiring in 1981.

He was a 32nd degree Mason for Lodge #62, F & AM, West Reading, where he was a 50 year member.

Snyder is also survived by four sisters, Mary (Snyder) Bruebacher of Ephrata, Ruth (Snyder) Campbell of Lewis, Delaware, Helen (Snyder) Smith of Lewis, Delaware and Violet (Snyder) Napoli of Seattle, Washington.

Other survivors include five brothers, Carl Snyder of Wernersville, David Snyder of Spring Township, Paul Snyder of St. Petersburg, Florida, Andrew Snyder of Newmanstown, Lebanon County and Clayton "Pete" Jr., of St. Petersburg, Florida.

There are two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Jeanette A. (Snyder) Stamm, who died May 1972.

Services will be Monday at 11:00 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Viewing Sunday evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm and Monday 10:30am until time of service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Masonic Center, Lodge #62 F&AM, 300 South Seventh Avenue, West Reading, Pa 19611.
