Warren E. Moyer

Warren E. Moyer, 69, of Alsace Township, died January 30, 2010 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the husband of Gale M. (Guinther) Moyer.

Born May 22, 1940 in Reading, he was a son of the late George W. and Anna M. (Gruber) Moyer.

Warren was the owner of Moyer's Garage, where he started his career at 14 years old. His whole life was devoted to his garage and his family.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1960 to 1966.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two children: Dean A. Moyer, companion of Donna C. Merce, Alsace Township and Denise A., wife of John P. Bixler, Fleetwood. Also surviving is his sister-in-law, Yvonne C. Moyer, Fleetwood; several nieces and nephews and Donna's daughter, Jessica Lynn Pluta, Reading.

Warren was predeceased by his brother, Richard G. Moyer.

A viewing will be Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
