Wanda M. Hall

Wanda Mae (Shomper) Hall, 82, died of natural causes April 20, 2009 at 12:55 pm in her Laureldale Borough residence.

She was married December 28, 1948 to the late John F. "Jack" Hall Sr., who died May 1, 1996.

Born September 23, 1926 in Williamstown, Dauphin County, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Esther Mae (Shadle) Shomper.

Wanda was a 1944 graduate of Williams Valley High School, Dauphin County and a 1948 graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing.

She was employed as a registered nurse a number of years at both Reading Hospital and Community General Hospital.

Wanda was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

She is survived by two children: John F. Jr., husband of Brenda (Herb) Hall of Hegins, Schuylkill County and Maria R. (Hall), wife of Thomas A. Keller of Laureldale.

Other survivors include a sister, Nadine K. (Shomper), widow of John M. Dalton of West Reading and two grandsons: Shawn M. Hall and John R.P. Keller.

She was predeceased by two children: JoAnne T. Hall who died December 16, 1949 and Connie L. Harbonic who died July 8, 2007.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 am in Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Muhlenberg Township. No public viewing. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township.
