Walter A. Swider

Walter A. Swider, 76, of Wyomissing, died April 27, 2010 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the husband of Rose D. (DeGeorge) Swider.

Born in Carnegie, PA, he was a son of the late Walter and Frances (Krupa) Swider.

Walter was a graduate of New Kensington Vocational High School as well as University of Pittsburgh.

He was an Industrial Engineer for Western Electric, now Lucent Technologies, until his retirement.

Walter was a member of St. Anthony R.C. Church, Reading.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two step-sons: David A., husband of Kathryn A. Yeager, Egg Harbor City, NJ and Michael G, husband of Debbie Yeager, Sicklerville, NJ. Also surviving are his siblings: John, husband of Linda Swider, West Melbourne, FL; Valentine, husband of Betty Swider, Holiday, FL and Patricia Ledford, Melbourne, FL. There are also two grandchildren surviving: Aaron M. Yeager and Ian D. Yeager.

Service will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 25 Stevens Ave., Reading, PA 19609. Edward J.
