Walter R. Lash

Walter R. Lash, Sr., 84, passed away June 20, 2011 in his West Reading residence.

His wife, Jean F. Lash, died in 2008.

Born in Lower Heidelberg Township, he was a son of the late Raymond W. and Alice S. (Gernert) Lash.

Walter was a foreman at Dana Corporation, Reading for over 42 years, retiring in 1988.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving in WWII.

He is survived by his three children: Walter R. Lash, Jr., Richland; Robert L., husband of Candace A. Lash, Bernville and Kathleen A., wife of Paul L. Patrie, Reading. Also surviving are two sisters: Dorothy Krick, Sinking Spring and Gladys Young, Molltown. Four grandchildren: Bradley, Melissa, Heather and Allison survive him.

Walter was predeceased by four siblings.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Miller-Keystone Blood Center, 2745A Leiscz's Bridge Road, Reading, PA 19605. Edward J.
