Walter E. Krause

Walter E. Krause, 79, died March 17 at 10:42 a.m. in his residence in Lincoln Park.

Born in Wyomissing, he was a son of the late Samuel F. and Elsie H. (Frederick) Krause.

Krause was employed from 1982 to 1987 by American Casualty Co., Reading, and last employed as a service representative by Acutech Laboratories, Reading, from 1987 until his retirement in 1999. He was also self-employed in real estate and insurance.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Krause was a 1943 graduate of Wyomissing High School and a 1948 graduate of the Reading Business Institute with a certificate in accounting and business administration. He also attended Muhlenberg College, Allentown.

He was a life member of the Reading-Berks Old-Timers Basketball Association.

Krause, who resided with Caroline A. Bush, is survived by a sister, Patricia A. (Krause) Lupoli, Philadelphia.

Services will be private. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
