Walter J. Kozlowski

Walter J. "Sonny" Kozlowski, 78, of Reading, passed away December 29, 2016, at Berks Heim.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late John and Helen (Halka) Kozlowski.

He was a 1957 graduate of Central Catholic High School.

Walter was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was employed by IML Trucking Company and The Reading Eagle.

Walter was an avid life-long Yankees fan.

The family would like to thank the staff of Berks Heim (floor 3B) for their compassionate and loving care they gave to Walter.

He is survived by four children: Maria M., wife of Christopher Salvatore, Philadelphia; Jackie D., wife of Jeffrey Antolic, Reading; Michael C., husband of Susan Kozlowski, Berlin, CT; and Patricia E. Tzetzo, Berlin, CT; and his brother, Joseph, husband of Joyce Kozlowski, Muhlenberg Township. Six grandchildren: Brooke Antolic; Kelly Kozlowski; Kristen Kozlowski; Kaitlyn Kozlowski; Alexandra Tzetzo and David Tzetzo. Several nieces and nephews and his former wife, Patricia M. Kozlowski, also survive him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in The Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery with burial to follow.
