Walter C. Flatt

Walter C. Flatt, Jr., 69, of Wyomissing, died October 5, 2009 in Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Karin A. (Pohlschmidt) Flatt.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Walter C., Sr. and Miriam (Troutman) Flatt.

He was a 1958 graduate of Muhlenberg High School and attended Syracuse University.

Walter was employed for 36 years as a court reporter for the County of Berks, retiring in 1996. He taught at the Senior College at Alverina University since 1999.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Reading.

Walter enjoyed flying, working with computers, and singing in his church choir.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Eric S., husband of Stacey, Boston, MA, Mark C., Wyomissing and Collin E., Philadelphia.

Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be private in Laureldale Cemetery.
