Wallace Richard Bell

Wallace Richard "Rick" Bell, 79, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018, in Maidencreek Place.

Born in Lansdale, he was the son of the late Robert Barker and Mary Jane (Krebs) Bell.

Rick earned his Phd. in Mycology from Penn State.

He was a college professor teaching at Penn State Worthington Scranton, Dunmore, PA, and on the main campus.

Rick was an avid fly fisherman and accomplished photographer.

Rick is survived by five children: Emily Bell, Wayne; Christopher Bell, Philadelphia; Erica, wife of Doug Adams, Leesport; R. Alexander Bell, Philadelphia; and Michael Bell, Wyomissing. Five siblings: Eva (Bell) Miller Indianapolis, IN; Henry Barker Bell, Noblesville,IN; Robert Bell, Washington, IL; Ralph Bell, Indianapolis, IN; and Margaret (Bell) Johnston, Bowling Green, KY; two grandchildren, Miles and Carson Adams; and many nieces and nephews also survive him.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at 11 a.m., in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
