W. Anne Frantz

W. Anne (Shelton) Frantz, 89, of Reading, died May 14, 2013, in Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the wife of Dean P. Frantz.

Born in Keeling, VA, she was the daughter of the late Harry R. and Mattie R. (Simmons) Shelton.

Anne was a 1942 graduate of Dan River High School, Ringgold, Danville, VA.

She was a manager at Jim Thomas' West Reading Diner, for 18 years, retiring in 1992.

Anne was vice president and secretary of Lutheran Women's League of Lutheran Hospice from 1961-1962.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Janet E. Seeley, Seattle WA; her brother, Harry R. Shelton, Danville, VA; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Carole E. Jones.

Services will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
