Vivian B. (Flannery) Poeller, 95, of Wyomissing, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, at Reading Hospital.
Born in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Vivian E. (Bocam) Flannery. Vivian was a graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1949.
She was the loving wife of the late Kenneth Poeller, who passed away in 2020. Vivian was a devoted mother and grandmother who treasured her family above all else. She was affectionately known as "Nan" and was adored by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and their families.
A loyal Philadelphia Eagles fan and season ticket holder for more than 30 years, Vivian proudly carried on a family tradition. She enjoyed all Philadelphia sports and never missed an opportunity to cheer on her teams. She also loved playing poker and gambling, and wherever Vivian was, there was usually a good time to be had.
Vivian is survived by her loving children, Bernice V. Brightbill, wife of James, of West Reading; Robert Lydon, husband of Kim, of Oley; and Kirk Lydon, partner of Carly Kruszewski, of Reinholds. She is also survived by her brothers, James Flannery and Martin Flannery, along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and their families.
In addition to her husband, Kenneth, Vivian was preceded in death by her sons, Kevin and Craig Lydon; her daughter, Cheryl Holmes; and her brother, Charles Flannery.
A prayer service will be held Tuesday, August 25, at 11:30 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Vivian will be laid to rest in the Chapel of St. George Mausoleum at Gethsemane Cemetery.
