Virginia G. Weaver

Virginia Grace (Henne) Weaver, 87, of Laureldale, died December 6, 2010 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the wife of Marvin George Weaver, Sr., who died April 2, 1980. Born in her Laureldale residence on February 16, 1923, she was a daughter of the late James M. and Lizzie M. (Seaman) Henne. She was a 1940 graduate of Muhlenberg High School. Virginia was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale. She was employed as a bookkeeper with Hartman Accounting, Reading; C. Malcolm Smith Accounting and last worked with Green Acres Golf Course, Bernville before retiring in 2008. Virginia is survived by six children: Darlene M., wife of H. Donald Correll of Eldersburg, Maryland; Marvin G. Jr., husband of Patricia J.S. Weaver of Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County; Kathleen L., wife of John Richard Steigerwald of Black Jack, Missouri; Edwin J., husband of Sue A. (Boyer) Weaver of Muhlenberg Township; Leon J., husband of Donna M. (Mawhinney) Weaver of Trappe, Montgomery County and Mark H. Weaver, fiancé of Cindy M. Korn of Laureldale. Other survivors include 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Virginia was predeceased by a son-in-law, Ronald J. Zygmunt and by her six siblings: Esther Henne, Mae (Henne) Hassler, Bessie L. Henne, Edwin "Buss" Henne, Jay "Fritz" Henne and Floyd Henne. Services will be held Friday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with Rev. Thomas F. Irwin, Jr. officiating. Viewings will be held Thursday evening from 6:30 - 8:00 pm and Friday morning 9:30 - 10:00 am. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
