Virginia L. Snyder

Virginia L. (Good) Snyder, 88, of Wyomissing, died July 25, 2011 in Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Her husband, Kenneth W. Snyder, died July 14, 1981.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late John and Stella (Biechtel) Good.

She was co-founder of Social Recreation for Retarded Children with her husband, Kenneth.

Virginia was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.

Virginia was a loving mother and dedicated to the care of her special son, Lester.

Virginia is survived by two sons, Lester J. Thomas, with whom she resided and Kenneth W. Jr., husband of Patricia Snyder, Wyomissing.

She is also survived by her sister, Velma, widow of Harry Seifert, Reading; three grandchildren, Tiffany Garner, Kenneth Snyder III and Christopher Snyder and one great-grandson, Ethan Garner.

Virginia was predeceased by her infant daughter, Bonnie Thomas and her brother, Robert L. Good.

Services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call Friday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to St Luke's Lutheran Church, 449 North 9th Street, Reading, PA 19601.
