Virginia I. (Bukowski) Patton-Fisher, 79, of Bern Township, died of natural causes March 26th at 3:43 am in St. Joseph's Hospital Community Campus where she had been since Saturday.

She was the widow of Paul W. Patton, who died August 1973 and Daniel H. Fisher, who died February 10, 2005.

Born at home in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Catherine (Kwiatkowski) Bukowski.

She was a 1944 graduate of Reading High School and a graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing where she was in the Cadet program from 1945-1947 and also a life member of the Hospital's alumni Association.

Patton-Fisher was employed 32 years as a Registered Nurse at Wernersville State Hospital, retiring in 1999 as a night supervisor.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen J. Patton with whom she last resided.

Other survivors include a brother, Daniel Bukowski of Reading and two sisters, Florence (Bukowski) Cesarz of Reading and Mary Ann (Bukowski) Schell of Shillington.

Patton-Fisher is also survived by a niece, Tere Ackerman of Exeter Township.

She was predeceased by a sister, Dolores (Bukowski) McCoy, who died in 2005.

Mass of Christian Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Family requests no flowers please. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
