Virginia "Ginny" Emma (Schuler) Eyrich, 83, passed away on September 14, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Nelson E. Eyrich. They married on August 26, 1961, and just celebrated 63 years together.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Frances M. and Cecilia R. (Henry) Schuler. Virginia graduated from Reading Central Catholic High School. She worked at St. Catherine of Siena School, teaching 3rd grade. She also spent 25 years working as an ophthalmic technician at West Reading Ophthalmic Associates, retiring in 2001.
Virginia was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola church, where she, along with her husband, participated in church-related activities that included being Eucharistic ministers. She also volunteered her time delivering Meals on Wheels. Virginia loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events, playing cards with her "Card Club" ladies, and entertaining family and friends.
In addition to Nelson, those left to treasure Virginia's memory are her children: Glenn M. Eyrich, husband of Kylah, Tina M. Nestro, wife of Eugene, and Lisa M. Eyrich; her grandchildren: Brandon, Kelsey, Noah, Connor, Brooke, Gabrielle, and Garrett; and her siblings, Francis M. Schuler, husband of Sandi, and Anne L. Bentz, widow of Thomas Bentz. She is predeceased by her sister Marie C. Rohrbach, wife of Robert.
Virginia was a beautiful person inside and out. She cared so deeply for the people around her. She made a significant impact on many lives. She will be forever missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Ignatius Loyola Church 2660 St. Albans Dr, Reading, PA 19609 with interment at Gethsemane Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Carmelite Nuns of Allentown Monastery --Therese's Valley, 3551 Lanark Rd. Coopersburg, PA 18036.
