Virginia E. Donohue

Virginia E. Donohue, 80, of Wilshire Road, Muhlenberg Township, died Dec. 2 at 11:07 a.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center, where she had been a patient since Nov. 4.

Her husband, John F. Donohue, died Nov. 8.

Born in Binghamton, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late James E. and Sarah E. (Evans) Purcell.

Donohue was employed as a librarian at St. Paul High School, Scranton, and was last employed for more than 25 years as an aide by the Muhlenberg School District.

She was a graduate of St. Paul High School.

Donohue was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

Surviving are a son, John J., Coopersburg, Lehigh County, and a daughter, Ann M. (Donohue) Grenko, Reiffton.

Other survivors include six grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels Church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Laureldale. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale, is in charge of arrangements.
