Virgil C. Oliver

Virgil C. Oliver, 90, of Reading, passed away on October 10th at the Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Peter and Sara (Dondolini) Oliver.

He was the husband of Mary Nell (Sarti) Oliver of Reading.

He worked as a needle straightener and machinist at Textile Machine Works and Arrow International, Wyomissing, for 45 years until his retirement in 1974.

Virgil was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle Roman Catholic Church, Shillington.

He is survived by two daughters, Sandra, wife of John Loughran, Downingtown, and Marcia, wife of Louis Seiden of Naples, FL.

There are also three granddaughters, Bridget McCann, Alexis Loughran, and Marcia Loughran.

One great-granddaughter, Rachel McCann also survives him.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
